what is the best way to clean Mr. Coffee Pot?
Sep 01, 2008 by mary von | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I differentiate there is something you can wash it with, but I forget!
You can put a pair of capfuls of bleach in the pot, fill it with water and let it stand for about an hour, that will take out all the grody brown stains and oil that make your coffee taste like it was brewed through Yao Ming's jockstrap. Drop the water out and wash it inside and out with a washrag just to get the residue out; rinse and you're done.

Use a Mr. Lave Magic Eraser. No need to scrub hard, just lightly whisk it around inside the pot.

I have always adapted to vinegar and water! It removes all the stains and I also use my coffee pot to make tea.

The pane pot you can clean with warm soapy water; same with the outside and filter basket.
To clean the hidden brewing parts, fill the specs carafe halfway with water and the rest with white vinegar. Don't go above the number of cups the machine allows. Start the coffee maker. When about 3-4 cups have finish through, turn the machine off and let it sit. After about an hour turn machine back on and let it run through. Rinse the pot and run clean water through machine 2-3 times.
ps: I'm not convinced that magic eraser actually cleans on its own. It's a solidified abrasive material and works to remove scuffs and spots giving a unsoiled appearance. I think of it like a sponge; it wipes away stuff but it doesn't clean though it may have a parsimonious bit of detergent/soap. Again, not sure about that. :)

Fill the pot, and add a cup of vinegar and run that thru the machine. After this run 2 pots of bath-water thru it, and you should be OK.

How do you clean a coffee pot? Like Mr Coffee?

A blend of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water is the best way to clean a drip coffee maker. Mix a full pot of the vinegar and water mixture, throng it in your water reservoir and turn the coffee maker on.
Once the mixture has run completely through, turn the drip coffee maker off and let it cool for 15 to 20 minutes.
Spout the vinegar and water mixture down the drain. If you are cleaning a coffee maker that hasn't been cleaned regularly, duplicate this step again with a fresh vinegar and water mixture.
Next, rinse the pot out thoroughly with warm, plain water. Then, fill the tone down reservoir again with clean water and turn the coffee maker on to start the rinsing process.
To make sure all of the vinegar and effervescent water solution is completely gone repeat the rinsing process one more time after letting the pot cool for 15 to 20 minutes.
This is how to unmixed a coffee maker the right way. Cleaning your drip coffee maker on a monthly basis will make it last longer and keep your coffee tasting the greatest it can possibly be.

How much coffee do I add to a Mr. Coffee 8-9 cup Coffee Pot?
Jan 03, 2007 by vegas_black_lights | Posted in Non-Alcoholic Drinks
The coffee pot is numbered to twelve on it and is a newer well-wishing.
The non-specific rule that Mr Coffee recommends is 1 scoop (2 tablespoons) per 2 cups (6 oz.). This is a tried and true prescription and it always works. If you want to adjust from there add a little more or less as needed. Your Mr. Coffee decanter and water pot are marked with 6 oz. cup marks. So 8 cups is 4 scoops and 9 cups is 4 1/2 scoops. Pliant, eh?
