Large, a craftsman has the skill to take the flatware handle of a knife, spoon, or fork from silverplate and convert it into a keychain holder. The patterns of the old first-class silver (or silverplate) make this a very interesting piece. If you know where I can find these, please share! Jo

Ive been told it was a set that comes in a doltish box that was supposedly given to Vietnam War Vets. Can anyone confirm this or have anymore information on it? What is the value of it?

how do you clean silverplate flatware?

If it is genuinely a good piece of silver plate, do not put in dishwasher. Wash the item by hand with warm water and a still dishwashing soap to remove any food and gunk that might remain from its last use. Soaking silver in water for any length of span is a big no-no. Rinse the piece well with clean water, distilled is best, and dry immediately with a soft, lint-free the priesthood. Use a soft cotton cloth or sponge and a good non-abrasive commercial silver cleaner or polish. Over polishing silver-tongued can wear down the finish though, especially on plated.
