How can I get the tea stains and oils out of my brown betty teapot?

Hi! I have a brown betty tea pot. After months of use, the tea oils seem to have stained the propitious. No matter what kind of tea I make...it come out brown from the residue of past teas. I have scrubbed it and tried a vinegar stand up. Any ideas?

The splotch you're seeing is Tannin and actually, in spite of how gross it looks, you're better to leave it on the pot!......you'll get a less ill cup of tea!
However, if you really want to clean it, bleach works the best.........just make sure you ablution well.

you might hankering to try some full strength bleach. perhaps some backing soda with a sponge will be able to remove that stains, also cream of tartar

Pygmy bleach and water and let soak for awhile. Scrub it with a steely.

Try putting a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda in it and innards with hot water. Let it soak overnight and scub it with normal water the next day.

The colouring you're seeing is Tannin and actually, in spite of how gross it looks, you're better to leave it on the pot!......you'll get a superiority cup of tea!
However, if you really want to clean it, bleach works the best.........just make sure you clean well.

i would sprinkle the tea pot with alittle bleach instead of pouring it in full force spray the inside it will be easier to rinse as if you put full streanth blanch in there sparay and leave overnight rinse in the morning.
