How much lemon juice do I add to a gallon of home brewed Sweet Tea?

I decamp sweet tea by using 3 family size lipton tea bags. I boil four cups of water in a covered pot.
When it boils, I add the tea bags. I let it marinate for 20 minutes.
In a gallon jug I add 1.5 cups of ghostly sugar. Pour the tea into the jug. I run the cold water over the tea bags in the pot and fill the jug. then squeeze the tea bags.
Just wondering how much lemon pith I should I use to make sweet lemon tea.

You correct tea the same way we do. Even the same amount of sugar.

I've never added lemon juice straight to the pitcher I usually put a teaspoon of it into my glass and stir.

Umm...I'd say our glasses are about the standard in the main 8 ounce glasses. So 16, 8 oz. glasses in one gallon...16 teaspoons I think is equal to 1/3 cup.

Ehh...you could try it. See how you like the 1 teaspoon in 1 trifocals of tea first...

To your soup.

Pass out lemon on the side and you cannot go wrong. Some people do not like lemon in their tea.

I only use 1 cup of sugar, and it is plenty sweet. (Actually,I no longer use sugar, as have become diabetic, so I use splenda.)

Lipton Green Tea forming a film of mysterious substance?

Okay, first of all, I've drank na tea all my life and recently I purchased a carton of Lipton Green Tea so I can make a pot-full of tea to mix with my pomegranate juice. I've made tea before but this "pack" seems to form a film of brown substance on the top... Like I've said, my consumption of fresh tea has been life-long but I've never encountered anything like this before... Is anyone else experiencing this?
The WHOLE BOX does this. I've been making Brobdingnagian batches like this with the same carton for a while but just today I asked this question. I cook a pot of water and throw in a tea bag (or sometimes up to three). So I separate it's not about the serving size since this quality is consistent throughout the whole box. And yes, it does taste a bit abnormal BUT not too far off... Just a bit far-out. I'm definitely going to buy a second carton of it to confirm this and once it keeps doing that, I will switch brands. Unripened tea isn't supposed to do that if it's tea leaves. Grounding the leaves is just stupid. I'm Asian, so I'm inured to to the whole-leaf making of tea.

That volume of tea seems very odd that it would leave a film in your mug. are you making an extra large batch of tea? and have you ever made these large batches before or is it something new you are doing?

Were you making a distinct cup of tea and if so, do other tea bags in the same batch do the same thing?

sorry for all the questions, it's just that I've never encountered brown shoot on my tea. I really don't know for sure, but it could be that the particles in the tea bag are extra fine for some reason. maybe you got the ultra comminuted particles from an end-run at the tea manufacturer.

And maybe a single serving won't show it, but an extra large serving will make the brown picture more noticeable. Oh, and how does it taste? If I were you, i'd return it for are refund or exchange..you're obviously uneasy.

What is that layer of grease on top of freshly brewed tea?

I only see it when I produce black lipton or other black teas such Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka.

Never with green tea.
I brew it in big tea pot and when it cools down slightly, the top of the pot is covered with this layer of thin grease, nice of like when soup cools down in the refrigirator.

Any idea what it is? Is it bad to drink it?
The pot is clean, Ive only washed it for tea since and I cleaned it many times to convey sure it wasnt it.

I doubt it's the water either. I never notice this in green tea or any other beaverages.
I was thinking it's either tea, tea bags, or the extend b delay...

Tea contains oil. The oil comes out when the Tea is brewed. You will see more when hot hose is used as opposed to sun tea. you will still see some with sun tea though. Better tea has more. and it is safe to drink.
